Job DescriptionDEPARTMENT: General Accounting
Shifts: 8hr Shift
POSITION SUMMARY
- Works within the Accounting Department in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with District policies and procedures and GAAP.
- Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring that all policies are followed.
- Prepare and enter to the GL various payroll reports, to include:
- Worker Comp allocation and accrual
- PTO expense and accruals
- Union Deductions for UNAC and Teamsters
- Reconcile all benefit accounts, approximately 8 accounts (health/dental/Vision/Aflac/457/disability, etc.)
- PTO cashout
- Prepare Moms payroll reimbursement and reports
- Process manual payroll checks as needed.
- Process payroll reports annual and Quarterly state and federal reporting processes.
- Download all needed ADP payroll reports.
- Scan and assure documents are readable and available.
- Apply with attorney requests for documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Maintain consistency on timecards and payroll processing
- Prepares bi-weekly payroll by reviewing, approving, and uploading time sheet information into the payroll system
- Accountability for compliance with laws, regulations, and policies to demonstrate ethical behavior
- Prepare monthly revenue reports for OSHPD
- Quarterly Sales Tax returns
- Scan all documents
- All other duties or responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) Required:
- College classes focused on accounting
Minimum Experience Required:
- 3 years minimum payroll and accounting experience
Experience Preferred:
- Hospital experience preferred, proficiency in desktop products including spreadsheet/Excel, word processing, presentation software. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, demonstrate problem solving and organizational skills
- High level of competency with personal desktop computers including importing, exporting, and manipulating data files
