Job Title: Registered Nurse – Telemetry
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract
Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Pay Rate: $45 - $51/hr (Based on Experience)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse – Telemetry for an exciting Contract opportunity in New York, NY.
Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to patients on a telemetry unit.

Continuously monitor, assess, and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms.

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.

Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.

Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures as required.

Assist with and monitor patients undergoing procedures requiring conscious sedation.

Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and cardiac rhythms.

Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care.

Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
Required Qualifications
-
Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience required.
-
Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience required.

Minimum 2 years of IV insertion experience required.

Minimum 2 years of Phlebotomy experience required.

Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience required.

Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN or ADN) from an accredited nursing program required.

Active New York State Registered Nurse License required.

Primary Source Verification of License and Registration of Registered Professional Nurse from the New York State Department of Education (NYSED) required.

Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification required.

Current American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS Certification required.

Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation, telemetry monitoring, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.

Proficiency in IV insertion, phlebotomy, conscious sedation monitoring, and electronic medical record documentation.
