A growing outpatient oncology and clinical research program is seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) with direct Phase I/II clinical trials experience. This position combines hands-on oncology patient care with clinical research involving investigational therapies, precision oncology, and theranostics.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to oncology patients participating in Phase I/II clinical trials
- Assess patients before, during, and after treatment
- Monitor treatment response, adverse events, and patient symptoms
- Coordinate clinical trial visits, labs, testing, treatments, and follow-up
- Follow clinical trial protocols and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate clinical and research documentation
- Educate patients and families regarding treatments and clinical trial participation
- Collaborate with physicians, research staff, and the multidisciplinary care team
Qualifications
- Active Maryland RN license
- Strong oncology nursing experience
- Direct Phase I/II oncology clinical trials experience required
- Strong patient assessment and clinical skills
- Experience with clinical trial protocols and documentation
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Ability to work between Bethesda and Glen Burnie, MD
- Monday-Friday schedule
