Job Title: Budtender (Legal Adult-Use Cannabis Dispensary)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Employment Type: Monday - Friday; 8 hours a day
Compensation: $17.00/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable, personable, and sales-driven Budtender to join our team. This role is equal parts sales advisor and cashier, responsible for guiding customers through their purchase while ensuring all transactions are handled accurately and in compliance with New York State regulations.
This is a fast-paced, customer-facing role where attention to detail, product knowledge, and a strong sense of responsibility are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and engage customers in a warm, professional manner
- Educate customers on cannabis products, effects, and safe consumption
- Make thoughtful product recommendations based on customer needs
- Accurately process transactions using the POS system
- Maintain compliance with all NYS cannabis laws, ID verification, and purchase limits
- Keep sales floor and displays clean, organized, and well-stocked
- Support inventory processes, including restocking and product checks
- Work collaboratively with team members and management to ensure smooth daily operations
- Uphold a high standard of professionalism, discretion, and customer service at all times
Qualifications
- Must be 21+ years old
- Prior retail, hospitality, or sales experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Understanding of cannabis products and willingness to learn more
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10-15lbs
