About the Role
Pronto Wind is seeking an experienced Level C Lead Wind Blade Repair Technician to lead complex wind turbine blade repair projects in the field.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with wind turbine blade repairs, the ability to assess blade damage, interpret technical drawings, and lead technicians in completing safe, high-quality repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead field technicians during complex wind turbine blade repair projects.
- Assess and analyze blade damage and determine appropriate repair approaches.
- Develop and execute engineered blade repair plans under the direction of engineers.
- Read and interpret blade drawings, technical documents, and repair specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and support to field technicians.
- Ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards.
- Follow all required safety procedures and company guidelines while working in the field.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of wind turbine blade repair experience.
- Strong working knowledge of complex wind blade repair techniques.
- Ability to assess blade damage and determine repair requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and repair specifications.
- Experience executing engineered blade repair plans.
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Must be based in the United States.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively for field assignments.
- Availability to work a 6-weeks-on / 1-week-off rotation.
Training & Certifications
- GWO BST and ART certifications preferred but not required.
- Certification training may be provided through Pronto University for qualified candidates who need it.
