An exciting opportunity is available for a highly organized and driven Project Coordinator to join a dynamic team working on a major healthcare operations project. This role plays a crucial part in keeping projects on track, ensuring effective communication, and supporting successful implementation across multiple workstreams. This position supports the CA HCO Project and offers the chance to work with experienced leadership while contributing to meaningful, people-centered outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Track project progress and ensure all stakeholders stay informed of deadlines and deliverables.

  • Foster engagement and alignment across departments to support project milestones.

  • Prepare work summaries, status updates, and internal communication documents that are clear, concise, and polished.

  • Document lessons learned to help improve future project execution.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess project needs, risks, and areas for improvement.

  • Remain flexible and resourceful in the face of changing priorities and tight deadlines.

  • Recommend and implement process improvements to increase project efficiency and coordination.

  • Maintain accurate records of all project activities, including meeting minutes, action items, and project plans.

  • Ensure compliance with all contractual and procedural requirements.

  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive project information.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a project coordinator or in a comparable administrative/project support role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project is required.

  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other standard office software.

  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Comfortable working with confidential or sensitive information.

  • Strong transcription skills and familiarity with general office equipment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred but not required.

  • Experience contributing to process improvement or systems change initiatives is a plus.

Project Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP

  • Job Duration: 12-month temporary position

  • Hourly Pay Rate: $28.00

  • Training: Remote

  • Languages: English

  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST

  • Interview Process: Virtual interview with a Senior Project/Program Manager

Location & Work Type:

  • Location: Candidates must be local to Rancho Cordova, CA or surrounding areas. Equipment must be picked up in person and may need to be returned when on-site operations resume.

  • Work Type: Remote (with occasional on-site requirements)
