Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A pharmacy professional opportunity is available for a motivated Staff Pharmacist ready to grow and lead in a dynamic healthcare setting. This 13-week contract-to-hire position offers a well-rounded experience in both retail and clinical pharmacy duties.
Location: Bella Vista, AR
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Rotating weekends every third week
Key Responsibilities:
- Accept and dispense prescription medications securely and accurately
- Oversee patient medication compliance and monitor for over-usage patterns
- Ensure all medication supplies meet legal and regulatory standards
- Assess the suitability of prescribed medications for each patient
- Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation with precision
- Provide comprehensive patient counseling on medication use, side effects, and drug interactions
- Offer services including smoking cessation, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management
- Educate patients on medical device use such as glucose meters and blood pressure monitors
- Prepare compounded medications and sterile IV solutions following safety protocols (PV1 and PV2 duties involved)
- Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks to ensure efficient pharmacy operations
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals including physicians and nurses to resolve drug-related problems
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active AR pharmacist license in hand
- Retail pharmacy experience is acceptable; willingness to train retail pharmacists included
- Competency in compounding and sterile preparation (IV preparation experience a plus)
- Strong communication skills for patient interaction and teamwork
