Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Trading Floor Deskside Support Specialist to join our team, providing onsite technical support to a banking and financial services client in a high-pressure trading floor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Resolve technical issues: You will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues related to laptops, desktops, and thin clients (Dell Wyse and related products), as well as Windows 10, Microsoft Office applications, and EUC environments.
Provide end-user support: You will deliver high-quality, professional support directly to end users on the trading floor, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Support EUC and virtualization technologies: You will assist in maintaining and supporting workplace and virtualization technologies within the End User Computing environment.
Manage and track incidents: You will use ServiceNow to log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests, ensuring proper documentation and timely resolution.
Participate in floor operations: You will support floor moves, including setup, relocation, and management of computing assets while maintaining accurate asset records.
Maintain operational compliance: You will adhere strictly to banking policies, procedures, and escalation protocols, ensuring compliance within a highly regulated environment.
Collaborate with internal teams: You will work closely with IT teams and follow organizational hierarchy and processes to ensure efficient issue resolution and service delivery.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Excellent communication skills with a professional and user-focused approach
- Previous experience in IT Helpdesk or Desktop Support roles
- Hands-on experience with Windows 10, Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft Office Suite, and ServiceNow or similar ticketing tools. (minimum 2–3 years)
- Strong knowledge of hardware support including laptops, desktops, and thin clients (Dell Wyse)
- Familiarity with virtualization and End User Computing environments
- Prior experience supporting a banking or trading floor environment (strongly preferred)
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, live trading environment with a high level of accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes, policies, and chain of command
- Flexibility to work in shifts and willingness to work onsite five days a week
- Minimum education in a computing-related field (certifications are a plus but not mandatory)
