Project Details: We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with a strong background in cloud-based data pipelines, Java microservices, and data platform migrations. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to support data migrations, build scalable data tools, and ensure smooth transitions for customers moving to our next-gen platform.

Data Engineer
Excellent opportunity for a candidate with a strong background in cloud-based data pipelines, Java microservices, and data platform migrations. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to support data migrations, build scalable data tools, and ensure smooth transitions for customers moving to our next-gen platform.

Candidates will need to be highly motivated, creative, self-directed, and thrive in small project teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Dataproc, BigQuery, and Dataflow.
  • Collaborate with teams on data migration projects, moving customer data to a new cloud-based platform.
  • Develop and maintain Java and Spring Boot-based microservices supporting the data engineering ecosystem.
  • Work with DevOps tools like Jenkins for CI/CD and Datadog for monitoring and alerting.
  • Build internal tooling to support platform operations and ensure data integrity during migration.
  • Partner with product and platform teams to deliver robust, efficient, and secure data solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and development environments.
  • Write clear technical documentation and contribute to best practices in engineering standards.

This is a 6 month contract opportunity with the option to extend or convert at the end of the contract. Candidates can sit hybrid in St. Louis, MO working 3 days/week onsite. Successful candidates have a high level of initiative and thrive in a fast paced, enterprise environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proven experience in data engineering and java development.
  • Hands-on experience with Dataproc, BigQuery, and Dataflow.
  • Strong programming skills in Java and experience with Spring Boot.
  • Experience building and deploying microservices architectures.
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and monitoring tools like Datadog.
  • Experience working on data migration projects is a strong plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Tremendous opportunity for a GIS Analyst to join a stable company making big strides in their industry. This is focused on the engineering side of the business! You will be able to gain experience in this critical technical role in the creation and support of critical feature data.

You will answer ongoing questions and inquiries, generate new geospatial data, and provide flexible GIS service. Regular inventory analysis showing counts, mileage, and measurements of the system is anticipated. You will also directly perform geospatial data preparation and assemblage tasks.This technical role requires that you have a broad geographic understanding, the ability to correctly interpret geometrics and feature placement information received from the field, and a general understanding of the installation and maintenance activities undertaken by the Engineering Department sub-groups.

Responsibilities:
Perform and be responsible for the creation, modification, and quality control of essential geospatial infrastructure data for company wide use for a variety of critical applications, including the analysis and assembly of geospatial data utilized to assist PTC compliance.
Utilize their practical knowledge to ensure field generated spatial data from various sources is properly converted into a functioning theoretical digital network compliant with the database and data model standards established for systems.
Authorized to perform quality control checks, accept, and promote geospatial data change sets that are produced by the Geospatial Data Group’s CADD technicians.
Utilize a variety of GIS software tools to perform topology corrections and make geometric modification as part of the data quality review and acceptance process.
Called upon to work with other involved groups and departments in a collaborative manner to fully utilize the technical skill sets of the Geospatial Data Group toward the Enterprise GIS goals.
Assist the Sr. Geospatial Data Analyst with assorted GIS responsibilities as required per business needs.
Leverage the company’s investment in geospatial technology to generate value and identify cost savings using GIS technology.
This is a 12 month contract position working out of our office in Midtown Atlanta 4 Days a week with 1 day remote. Our new office is state of the art with many amenities (gym, coffee shop, cafeteria, etc.) and paid parking. REQUIRED:

2+ years experience working with Data in a GIS environment OR GIS Graduate with Internship experience in the GIS space
Strong Communication skills, presenting and working across org. departments
Experience with ESRI Suite (ArcGIS)
Experience with data editing and spatial analysis
Experience with relational databases
Experience with database queries (basic queries)
SQL
Bachelor degree in GIS or similar (computer science, SW engineering, IT, etc.)
PREFERRED:

Esri JavaScript API
