Hotstart is in the midst of exciting growth and modernization across our global operations, and technology plays a central role in that success. As part of our IT team in Spokane, Washington, you’ll help support the systems and people that keep our business moving forward.

Requirements:

As an IT Specialist II, you’ll provide advanced support for technical issues, help maintain IT systems and infrastructure, and guide IT Specialist I team members in developing their skills.

What You’ll Do

· Oversee and optimize support for office and production technology, ensuring reliability of PCs, printers, barcode scanners, handhelds, and machine-connected devices critical to manufacturing.

· Administer and secure user accounts, groups, and access policies within Active Directory and integrated business systems.

· Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex hardware, software, and network issues, providing guidance to junior team members and ensuring minimal downtime in both office and production environments.

· Own IT asset lifecycle management, including standards, tracking, compliance, and technology refresh planning.

· Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge bases, and training materials to elevate team effectiveness.

· Champion adoption of new tools and systems, mentoring colleagues and coordinating rollout plans.

· Participate in after-hours or on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 manufacturing support when needed.

What You Bring

· A passion for technology and continuous improvement.

· Strong technical and troubleshooting skills, especially in:

o Windows OS and Active Directory

o Office 365 administration

o Networking fundamentals

· Administer and secure user accounts, groups, and access policies within Active Directory and integrated business systems.

· Excellent communication and teamwork.

· A team-first mindset—prioritizing collective success over individual pursuits.

Additional Certifications and Experience

· CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications (required).

· Additional certifications (e.g., Security+, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.

· Prior IT/helpdesk experience required.

· Wage range: $60K ($28.85/hour) - $70K ($33.65/hour) depending on experience and qualifications.
