What You’ll Do

The Truck Shift Lead is a primary role in Señor Sisig food truck operations. Shift leads direct cooks and cashiers through their daily routines and interact with customers to make sure that they have an excellent experience. Shift leads act as quality control, ensuring customer satisfaction through supervising employees properly and adhering to company policy.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participating in weekly management meetings to discuss goals, progress, and any issues in need of resolution.

· Ensuring that opening checklist is completed and assigned truck is fully ready for service.

· Ensuring that closing checklist is completed and assigned truck is ready for the next service.

· Driving trucks to specified daily locations (locations change from day-to-day)

· Ability to follow proper parking, set up, and closing procedures based on different locations.

· Confirming each position is scheduled for all assigned services.

· Conducting daily stand ups with assigned staff to ensure all staff members are motivated and understand their daily responsibilities.

· Following all company policies before, during, and after service.

· Ability to work all positions on the truck; cover each position for rest and meal breaks.

· Assuring consistency with portion control and presentation of all food.

· Maintaining sanitation and proper food handling according to California Food Handlers requirements

· Handling all customer complaints and approving discounts, comps, refunds and voids, while following company policies.

· Troubleshooting problems as they arise throughout the shift and communicating with management to resolve issues accordingly.

· Maintaining proper flow of service by acting as the expeditor.

· Following proper stocking and usage procedures for all inventory to minimize food waste.

· Providing consistent feedback, both positive and negative, about truck staff.

· Maintaining a work environment that encourages compliance with safety laws and employment guidelines

· Assuring proper meal and rest break procedures are followed.

· Unloading, weighing, and returning products to proper location in commissary.

· Using Slack as a daily communication tool for all channels that apply.

· Taking daily pictures/videos from service.

· Verifying end of service sheets and confirming vendor payment when it applies.

· Verifying inventory before leaving for service

· Assisting managers, as needed
