Job Title: General Maintenance Technician II
Location: Sandy Springs, GA
Duration: 06 Months
Shift: 1st Shift 8am-4:30pm M-F
Pay Rate: $20
Job Summary
Seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support a commercial Headquarters Campus environment in Sandy Springs, GA. This temporary role provides an intermediate level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, emergency response, and preventive maintenance of building equipment, fixtures, and systems.
The position is a multi-craft role, working under minimal supervision as part of a self-directed team. Responsibilities include general non-licensed maintenance work, equipment repair, and supporting licensed trades as directed. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and the ability to independently evaluate equipment to identify potential failures.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Perform all duties safely following job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements
- Comply with all governmental, company, and industry regulations, codes, and standards
- Identify and correct safety-related issues
Maintenance & Repairs
- Operate, maintain, and repair facility and production equipment
- Analyze equipment failures and perform inspections, replacements, and repairs
- Perform planned and preventive maintenance on building systems
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems including:

- HVAC (commercial/industrial)
- Pumps and agitators
- Hydraulic systems
- RO/DI purified water systems
- Compressed air and gas distribution systems
- Perform minor carpentry, painting, and sheet metal work as required
Preventive Maintenance & Systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections
- Develop and implement planned maintenance procedures
- Perform maintenance activities using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Maintain spare parts inventory and communicate usage to stock personnel
Equipment & Tools
- Assist with installation, inspection, and servicing of new equipment
- Operate diagnostic, measuring, and testing instruments
- Use hand tools, power tools, laptops, and diagnostic hardware
Collaboration & Customer Support
- Support coworkers, contractors, vendors, project managers, building managers, and engineers
- Respond to customer work orders with timely service and feedback
- Recommend improvements to maintenance methods and equipment performance
Other Duties
- Maintain flexibility in scheduling to support customer needs
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in one or more of the following:

- Industrial HVAC
- Industrial mechanical machine repair
- Automotive repair
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work in aerial lifts or scissor lifts at heights up to 30 feet or higher
