Day to Day:

A manufacturing company local to Portland is looking for a Service Technician to play a critical role in delivering high-quality service and support to customers across various industries, including restaurants, hotels, schools, healthcare facilities, and grocery stores. This position involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial dish machines and chemical dispensing systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role will have a rotating on-call schedule. Every three weeks, you will be on call for a full week. Your standard schedule will be M-F 8 AM-5 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and service dish machines (from under-counter units to large conveyor systems).
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.
  • Respond to urgent service calls during business hours and participate in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours and weekend support.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
  • Report incidents or accidents promptly and adhere to site-specific safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

Qualified Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in warewash, laundry systems, or similar mechanical service roles preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must pass a DOT physical every two years.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate hand trucks.
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and confined spaces.

Compensation: $20/hr to $24/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401 (k) retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
