We are a Family owned Fabric/Foam/Upholstery/Flooring & Window Covering store that has been in business for over 30 years, and we are looking to expand our team. Our customers are our number priority, and our goal is to build an incredible team that works seamlessly and has the best customer service and follow up in the business. Our store carries hundreds of upholstery, drapery and bedding fabrics, auto and marine fabrics and carpet, and many other items and supplies. We also have a large onsite foam warehouse filled with upholstery grade foam, and we also carry flooring and custom window coverings. A significant portion of our business includes selling customized orders for upholstery/reupholstery, custom draperies, pillows, bedding, etc. We are looking for an individual who excels in sales and customer service and an individual in our fabric room that supports our sales team and our customers. We offer competitive pay as we are looking for the right full-time employees to join us for the long term.
Candidates do not need prior experience with fabric, it’s a plus if you do, however, we will gladly train the right person. Experience in any of the following fields will be beneficial (not required) to these positions: sales, retail, customer service, upholstery, sewing, carpentry or craftsman, design work, marketing, warehouse management, team lead, etc.
Retail Sales Associate ($18-$24/Hour to start Depending on Experience) We are looking for a Friendly and Outgoing sales associate to greet customers upon entry, assist customers with fabric selections, accurately measure cushions, furniture, etc., prepare custom orders and determine pricing, and successfully finalize the sale.
The Retail Sales Candidate:
Possesses strong sales, service, and follow-up abilities.
Can communicate effectively with customers, other employees, and management.
Understands basic math functions and able to accurately read a tape measure.
Able to understand instructions and able to grasp new concepts quickly.
Able to follow store procedures and guidelines as outlined.
Is organized and detailed, and able to multi-task with coordination.
Can utilize Microsoft Programs such as Outlook & Word proficiently and has some familiarity with Excel.
Able to professionally and effectively communicate by email including proper greetings and structure.
Must be able to learn and utilize a table style register and can accurately count and handle money.
Able to stand and/or walk for 7 hours comfortably. This position does include lifting and carrying rolls of fabric at times and climbing small ladders.
Fabric Room Consultant and Fabric Cutter – ($18-20/Hour to start depending on Experience)
This candidate will primarily be in our large fabric room assisting customers, moving and hanging fabric bolts, measuring and cutting fabrics, and keeping the fabric room neat, clean, and safe.
The ideal candidate:
Must be friendly, outgoing, and patient with customers.
Able to lift heavy bolts of fabric (up to 50lbs) and climb a 4-step ladder.
Able to stand and walk 7 hours a day comfortably and safely.
Able to measure and cut fabrics and vinyl.
Can communicate effectively with customers, other employees, and management.
Willing to work effectively with fabric sales associates on custom orders, etc.
Able to understand basic math functions and able to accurately read a tape measure.
Is organized and detailed, and able to multi-task with coordination.
The right candidates for these positions are honest, accountable, and reliable. Both positions are customer facing so candidates must be friendly, neat and presentable, drug free, and able to listen and communicate effectively.
Store hours are Monday - Saturday 9am to 4pm and Closed on Sundays.
Employees are scheduled for 5 days (aprox 35 hours). Days to be determined.
