We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years of experience in repairing mobile mining equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacement, particularly with brands such as CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Liebherr. OEM experience is highly desired.
Must Haves
- Minimum 3 years of experience repairing mobile mining equipment.
- Experience with CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Liebherr equipment.
- Experience with Frac Transmissions.
- Welding fabrication skills.
- Technical experience with hydraulic pumps, valves, and motors.
- Troubleshooting skills for electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Computer proficiency, including Word and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain mobile mining equipment.
- Perform machine rebuilds, overhauls, and major component replacements.
- Disassemble and assemble/rebuild Frac Transmissions.
- Conduct welding fabrication, including arc welding, metal inert gas welding, and arc gouging.
- Use oxyacetylene torch for repairs.
- Troubleshoot 12/24 electrical systems and hydraulic systems.
- Utilize SIS, My Komatsu, and CMMS for maintenance management.
- Use ET for equipment troubleshooting.
- Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Maintain a tool inventory sufficient to perform assigned tasks.
- Operate a service vehicle and maintain a clean driving record.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- OEM experience is highly desired.
- Experience with mining or rock quarry maintenance.
- Experience using CMMS, SIS, My Komatsu, and ET.
- Training in Cat, Komatsu, or Volvo is a plus.
- Proficient in reading schematics and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Work Environment
This position operates on a 14-7 rotation from 6 am to 3 pm. It involves both indoor and outdoor responsibilities in a shop environment located in LA. The role requires the ability to lift more than 50 pounds and maintain a safe working record.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Braithwaite, Louisiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Direct hire - will get all company benefits up front.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Braithwaite,LA.
