Primary Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Support the fabrication and assembly of fiberglass tanks, sumps, and related products.
  • \n

  • Operate cutting, grinding, and layup tools to prepare and assemble composite materials.
  • \n

  • Assist in performing secondary bonding procedures and part installations.
  • \n

  • Follow instructions from operators and supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely.
  • \n

  • Maintain accurate labeling, layout, and marking of parts and completed products.
  • \n

  • Ensure safety, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance within the plant.
  • \n

  • Promote a culture of quality, safety, and teamwork on the production floor.
  • \n

Job Duties\n
\n
\n

    \n
  • Cut fiberglass materials to size using hand tools, templates, and slitting or saw equipment.
  • \n

  • Operate a variety of tools and material handling equipment including grinders (4", 7", wet), saws, hoists, air movers, and jacks.
  • \n

  • Perform grinding, smoothing, patching, and installation tasks for seams, nozzles, manways, and other components.
  • \n

  • Mix resin and catalysts accurately for proper curing; wet out and roll materials during layup.
  • \n

  • Support layout and fitting of shells and parts per drawings and specifications.
  • \n

  • Conduct measurements, visual inspections, and quality checks; report issues to appropriate personnel.
  • \n

  • Control inventory and storage of fiberglass materials, rolls, and sheets.
  • \n

  • Assist with part and product preparation for shipment.
  • \n

  • Perform minor tool and equipment maintenance, cleaning tools and rollers regularly.
  • \n

  • Apply product markings, stencils, and labels according to specifications.
  • \n

  • Work in varying environmental conditions, including high noise, temperature extremes, and confined space.
  • \n

  • Lift/move materials and components as required (up to 45 lbs).
  • \n

  • Wear a respirator for extended periods (8+ hours) as required by tasks.
  • \n

Education and Qualifications\n
\n
\n

    \n
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • \n

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • \n

  • Physically able to meet job demands, including lifting, standing, and working in non-climate-controlled areas.
  • \n

  • Experience with fiberglass, composites, or layup techniques preferred.
  • \n

  • Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work well in a team environment.
  • \n
