Job Summary:
Directs and manages the scheduling and operation of the data processing and laser production. Provides efficient, effective and timely service to clients. Also provides the technical support for internal systems, software and hardware.
Hybrid Schedule: 3/WFH 2/OFFICE
Supervises: Computer Programmer, Data Processing Technician and Laser Operator.
Essential Job Functions:
• Sets up and approves all data processing and laser schedules to ensure that project deadlines are met.
• Converts and processes all incoming data and prepares for printing and mailing.
• Working knowledge and experience of BCC and GMC/PrintNet systems
• Controls flow of materials and utilization of labor to maximize productivity.
• Manages all data processing and laser personnel by assisting in the hiring process, documenting employment, providing work direction and regular performance feedback, dealing with disciplinary problems when necessary and assisting in the termination process.
• Ensures that all Company policies and procedures are followed by data processing and laser personnel and ensures the safety of all employees.
• Provides or coordinates training for all data processing and laser personnel.
• Prepares all necessary reports and documents to ensure accurate and detailed records.
• Trouble shoots all data processing and laser operation problems.
• Implements IT system security in the organization to ensure safety of data and IT systems
• Oversees the management and maintenance of computer workstations
• Provides support in troubleshooting of computer problems
• Oversees the proper storage of all company data and archiving of records and back ups
• Ensures smooth and efficient running of all IT systems in the organization
• Participates in management team meetings, providing accurate feedback to the Operations Manager that will assist in business decision making.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
• 1+ year post high school education in computer programming
• 2 years supervisory experience
• 3 years computer operation experience
• Advanced knowledge of computer operations and related peripherals
• Strong keyboard skills
• Problem solving skills, Logical thinking skills
• Good management skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
