ASSISTANT TASTING ROOM MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Tasting Room Manager is responsible for efficiently and effectively promoting the sale of wine and non-wine products through customer service and providing consumers with a meaningful wine tasting and experience. All efforts are focused on growing retail sales while providing gracious hospitality and a memorable experience to guests and customers.

This is a full-time, service industry position which will include seasonal weekends and most holidays with a competitive compensation structure, including a bonus program, commission and full benefits. Provided health benefits are 100% paid by the Employer.

TASTING ROOM OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff

• Support management of onsite wine and other product inventory

• Support the fulfillment of eCommerce and wine club shipments

• Sell our retail products and club memberships in a confident manner, while building meaningful, genuine relationships with our guests

• Maintain a professional, clean environment inside and outside the tasting room by executing, teaching and enforcing daily tasting room protocol and procedures

• Become educated and knowledgeable about our products, accurately describing wines, winemaking techniques, winery history, appellations, and unique aspects of our brand and organization

• Be an ambassador with our guests and an example to our sales associates in promoting our brand and offering our guests an extraordinary experience of customer service in a warm and educational atmosphere

• Respond to customer service issues in a professional, warm, and timely manner

• Assist with events

• Community Ambassador

• Reach out to VRBO/ Hotels/ B&B for partnership opportunities

• Other duties as assigned
