Litigation Legal Assistant
Starting Salar7: $65,000 - $105,000
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Litigation Legal Assistant to support our legal team in managing litigation cases. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and management of legal documents, maintain case files, and facilitate communication with clients to ensure efficient case handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines for litigation matters.
- Communicate with clients to provide updates on case progress and gather necessary information.
- Conduct legal research and assist in the drafting of legal correspondence.
- File documents with the court and ensure compliance with legal procedures.
- Support the litigation team with trial preparation and exhibit organization.
- Review and summarize contracts and other legal documents as needed.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and case management software to track case activities and maintain documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in legal studies or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant in a litigation environment.
- Strong skills in document preparation and legal writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and legal professionals.
- Knowledge of compliance and filing procedures in litigation.
