Medical Records Clerk

As a Medical Records Clerk, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and confidential resident health records and documentation. We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team in Lees Summit, MO.
Responsibilities:
• Respond to requests for medical information while maintaining confidentiality
• File and organize medical documents, including physician orders, progress notes, and care plans
• Process admission and discharge documentation
• Coordinate records for surveys, audits, and interdisciplinary teams
• Assist with data entry and reports as needed
• Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in medical records or health information management in a long-term care or healthcare setting preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology
• Strong computer and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• CNA license preferred
