Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | Approx. 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Compensation: $20–$25/hour (entry-level) | $30+/hour (experienced)

Summary

Curran Development Group is partnering with a reputable commercial construction firm in the Rochester and Western New York region to hire dedicated Field Technicians for hands-on roles in construction and field operations. This position offers a dynamic, team-driven environment for individuals eager to build practical skills and grow in a structured, safety-focused construction setting. Whether you're new to the industry or bringing prior experience, this role provides comprehensive on-the-job training and opportunities to contribute to high-quality commercial projects. Responsibilities span carpentry, framing, drywall, finish work, demolition, excavation support, material handling, and general labor across indoor and outdoor sites. The ideal candidate is dependable, physically capable, and committed to safety, quality, and project success.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily field operations on active commercial construction and renovation projects
  • Perform a variety of construction tasks including carpentry, framing, drywall installation, finish work, and general labor
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
  • Transport, load, unload, and store materials and equipment efficiently and safely
  • Operate hand and power tools with precision and adherence to safety protocols
  • Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and field supervisors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
  • Adapt quickly to changing job site conditions, project scopes, and evolving priorities

Qualifications

  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and consistent attendance
  • Physical ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions
  • Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday
  • Reliable personal transportation required for daily commute to multiple job sites
  • No prior construction experience necessary—comprehensive on-the-job training provided
  • Military veterans and transitioning service members encouraged to apply
