The salary range is $69K-$86,500 with a 10% bonus. This particular plant has about 25 employees but during the pack season (August - October) they will have up to 100 employees.
Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager
Location: Brooten, MN
Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all quality assurance and food safety programs within the facility

Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, HACCP plans, GMPs, and company quality standards

Lead the implementation, verification, and maintenance of HACCP and preventive control programs

Conduct and oversee internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections

Investigate quality issues and lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes

Partner with operations, sanitation, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure quality and food safety standards are met

Maintain quality documentation, reporting, and key performance metrics

Train plant personnel on food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

Lead, mentor, and develop members of the quality team

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality systems and plant performance
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or a related field preferred

Several years of quality assurance experience within food manufacturing

Strong understanding of HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulations

Experience with regulatory inspections and third-party audits

Leadership experience within a manufacturing environment

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced production environment
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SQF, BRC, or other GFSI-certified programs
-
Prior experience managing a plant-level quality team

Strong background in continuous improvement and process optimization
