The Network Operations Lead will provide comprehensive Network Operations services to support DFC OIT's enterprise networking environment. Network Operations shall ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing connectivity for users, applications, and systems across DFC locations and remote access scenarios.

Network Operations services will be delivered in alignment with DFC's Zero Trust architecture and integrate with ServiceNow ITSM, Incident Management, Change Management (ERB/CCB), and Engineering Services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end operational support for Cisco-based routing, switching, and related infrastructure across DFC’s enterprise network.
  • Executed in alignment with DFC’s Zero Trust architecture—including identity-aware segmentation, continuous monitoring, and policy-based traffic controls—and integrated with ServiceNow ITSM processes for Incident Management, Change Management (ERB/CCB), and CMDB asset tracking
  • Responsible for strategic oversight, ensuring scalability, redundancy, and optimized performance of Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, and ISR/ASR platforms
  • Leverage enterprise-grade network monitoring tools (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog) to continuously track Cisco device health, link utilization, and error conditions.
  • Maintaining network availability and performance
  • Minimizing service disruptions
  • Proactively identifying risks or performance issue
  • Ensuring secure access to enterprise resources
  • Support firewall policy lifecycle management, ensuring policies are documented, approved, implemented, and reviewed in accordance with DFC security and governance requirements.
  • Support impact analysis, testing, implementation, and post-change validation.
  • Monitor firewall health, performance, and logs to detect security events, policy violations, and operational issues.
  • Integrate with Zscaler services, identity controls, and Network Operations to enforce Zero Trust policies.

Position Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship will be a requirement
  • Public Trust Background Investigation may be a requirement
  • Ability to be deployed across Washington, DC, NYC, and approved globally remote locations
