Elliott Counseling Group is looking for a full-time Healthcare Assistant to join our team! Under the guidance of our Nursing Supervisor, this position assists the nursing team to provide direct care to clients and assist with medical tasks and record-keeping.
Our ideal candidate excels at providing superior attention to detail, clear communication, and efficient multitasking. Additionally, the Healthcare Assistant must have compassion, patience, and diligence, as this is a role that will work directly with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Greet and room clients for their appointments
- Discuss client concerns and reasons for scheduling their appointment
- Gather and record client vitals, draw blood and collect lab samples as needed
- Update medication lists and medical/family history
- Efficiently communicate client information to the nursing team
- Upload and record client information in InSync EHR system
- Provide and collect screening questionnaires for clients as needed
- Communicate with pharmacy staff regarding prescription issues and questions
- Answer multi-line phone, greet clients, and provide superior customer service
- Assist reception and administration team as needed
Qualifications
- CNA, MOA, or LPN certification
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Possess knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Familiarity with EHR systems and patient care charts or records
- Good time management, multitasking, and communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Previous experience in outpatient healthcare a plus
