Schedule: Monday–Friday | Onsite
Location: Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Area
Lead Enterprise IT Infrastructure Strategy & Operations
We are seeking an experienced Director of IT Infrastructure to lead and oversee enterprise-wide infrastructure operations for a growing organization. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the design, security, performance, and long-term strategy of the company's technology infrastructure, including data centers, networks, servers, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, and end-user support services.The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic leadership and hands-on technical expertise, along with a proven ability to lead teams, manage vendors, and drive technology initiatives that support business growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute IT infrastructure strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead enterprise infrastructure architecture, including on-premise, cloud, hosted, and hybrid environments.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Participate in IT governance, project prioritization, and long-term technology planning.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor Infrastructure, Service Desk, and Desktop Support teams.
  • Provide coaching, professional development, and performance management.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-focused IT culture.

Infrastructure Operations

  • Oversee daily operations of networks, servers, storage, telecommunications, and data center environments.
  • Ensure system availability, capacity planning, performance monitoring, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead infrastructure upgrades, implementations, and technology projects.
  • Manage software licensing and vendor relationships while ensuring service-level expectations are met.

Security, Compliance & Risk Management

  • Drive cybersecurity initiatives and infrastructure security best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Support disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Implement and maintain secure access controls and change management processes.

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Manage third-party technology providers and service partners.
  • Monitor vendor performance, contracts, and service delivery.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and technology investments.

QualificationsRequired

  • 10+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience.
  • 3PL experience – 5+ years
  • Previous leadership experience managing IT teams and technical staff.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Network administration
    • Server administration
    • Cloud and hybrid environments
    • Cybersecurity and risk management
    • Disaster recovery and business continuity
    • Telecommunications systems
  • Experience managing enterprise infrastructure projects and vendor relationships.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience within logistics, transportation, warehousing, fulfillment, distribution, or 3PL environments.
  • Knowledge of application support within operational or supply chain environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Advanced degree and industry certifications are a plus.
