The Site Maintenance Specialist selected shall perform various janitorial and maintenance tasks at a facility located in Kihei, HI as required including though not limited to:
- All grounds and buildings at Kihei site, including interior and exterior of buildings, are clean and maintained.
- Kihei facilities are safe and operational and kept up to professional standards.
- There are sufficient cleaning and restroom supplies on site at all times.
- Qualified service contractors for repair work are identified and reported to appropriate site management.
- Kihei campus is safe, well-maintained, and clean, and areas that need work are addressed in a timely manner with site management.
- Simple repairs such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical repairs are completed in a timely manner, and assistance provided to all outside contractors as needed.
- All equipment is maintained and vehicles managed (cleaned, fueled and serviced as required).
- All site maintenance schedules are updated and maintained.
- Community service workers and volunteers who engage in site upkeep and maintenance have the direction, tools, and equipment they need and their work is tracked and reported to site leadership.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience working in a similar position involving janitorial, landscaping, facilities maintenance, and repair including carpentry, painting, and general handyperson skills.
- Knowledge of basic facilities repair, landscaping, irrigation maintenance, and native plant restoration is desired.
- Ability to assess a wide variety of facility problems and repair them efficiently and in a timely manner.
- Ability to operate a variety of power tools, hand tools, and cleaning equipment.
- Skillful in carpentry, basic mechanical, electrical and plumbing maintenance and repair.
- Should have basic computer skills for email and internet searches.
