Job Title: Medical Equipment Driver & Customer Service Technician
Location: Helena, MT (onsite)
Contract Duration: PERM
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
SCHEDULE & COVERAGE
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Full-time position combining medical equipment delivery, patient education, and customer service
- Coverage Area
- Helena, Montana and surrounding communities
- Some patients may be located up to 1.5 hours from the branch
- Daily travel throughout the assigned territory
- On Call Expectations
- On call rotation approximately every other week
LOCATION REQUIREMENT
- Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Helena, Montana
VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required
- Company vehicle provided
INTERVIEW PROCESS

ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Strong driving skills required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic computer proficiency required
- Healthcare or DME experience preferred but not required

OVERVIEW
This role combines customer service, logistics, medical equipment delivery, and patient education into one rewarding career. You'll become the face of Rotech by delivering essential medical equipment, educating patients on its safe use, and providing outstanding service both in the field and in the branch.
- Deliver, set up, maintain, and retrieve home medical equipment, oxygen equipment, and supplies
- Educate patients and caregivers on the safe operation, maintenance, and proper use of medical equipment
- Complete delivery paperwork, work orders, manifests, route sheets, invoices, and patient documentation accurately
- Coordinate deliveries with branch personnel to ensure timely patient service
- Assist with patient intake, insurance verification, referrals, and customer service calls as needed
- Prepare documentation for billing, sales representatives, and referral tracking
- Respond professionally to walk in patients, caregivers, and referral sources
- Maintain assigned company vehicle and equipment in a clean, safe, and professional condition
- Report equipment hazards and product concerns in accordance with company policies
- Participate in the on-call rotation to support patient needs after business hours
WHAT TO EXPECT

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred
- Healthcare or medical equipment experience
- One year of customer service, delivery, or logistics experience
- Medical terminology knowledge
- Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment
SKILLS
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional and compassionate interaction with patients and caregivers
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Email and electronic documentation systems
- Internet navigation and research
- Standard office equipment including phones, printers, scanners, and tablets
- Ability to safely load, unload, transport, and troubleshoot medical equipment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift and transport patient equipment weighing at least 65 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and driving throughout the workday
- Close visual acuity for paperwork, tablets, and equipment
- Regular exposure to patient environments and contagious pathogens
- Must comply with Rotech's Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy, including annual recertification
