HiFyve is partnering with an automotive manufacturer to hire Production Supervisors for their manufacturing facility in Columbus, Nebraska. This is a hands-on opportunity supporting highly automated production equipment in a modern manufacturing environment with excellent earning potential and long-term career growth.



Position Details


Location: Columbus, NE


Salary: $60,000 to $90,000 annually


Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, with weekend overtime as needed
  • Third Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00am



Position Overview


A Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead hourly production employees in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.

This position is responsible for daily production activities, employee performance, productivity, quality, safety, staffing, and training. The Production Supervisor will work directly on the plant floor and must be comfortable managing production quotas, deadlines, and changing operational priorities.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise hourly production employees within the assigned department
  • Coordinate daily work assignments and production schedules
  • Monitor production output to ensure quality, productivity, and deadline expectations are met
  • Coach, develop, and train production employees
  • Review employee performance and administer company policies and work rules
  • Promote positive employee relations and maintain open communication between employees and management
  • Create and oversee employee training schedules
  • Evaluate manufacturing workstations and processes for safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Compile, review, and analyze production records
  • Identify production issues and implement appropriate corrective actions
  • Recommend equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, and process improvements
  • Ensure equipment, materials, labor, and other resources are used efficiently
  • Maintain compliance with IATF 16949 quality standards
  • Enforce plant safety requirements and established operating procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Model professional behavior and set clear expectations for employees
  • Communicate effectively with employees, management, customers, and suppliers
  • Perform additional duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • At least 3 years of experience within automotive manufacturing
  • Previous experience supervising hourly production employees
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 quality standards
  • Experience managing productivity, quality, employee performance, training, and staffing
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee-relations skills
  • Ability to analyze production issues and make sound operational decisions
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing safety requirements
  • Strong computer and time-management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented, deadline-driven manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work second or third shift and weekend overtime as needed


Work Environment

This position regularly works on an active manufacturing floor. The environment is fast-paced and production-driven, with responsibility for meeting daily quality, safety, and output expectations.


Physical Requirements

While performing this position, the employee will regularly use their hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, and controls. The employee will frequently walk, stand, kneel, crouch, reach, speak, and hear.

The position may occasionally require lifting or moving up to 40 pounds. Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception
