Maintenance Technician
Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on machinery, evaluating and addressing requests from the manufacturing floor, and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. You will ensure that equipment is maintained in production-ready and safe conditions.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
- Respond to direct requests from the manufacturing floor by evaluating situations and determining the necessary level of maintenance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to pneumatics, hydraulics, gear boxes, and motors.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting on 3-phase motors and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Operate maintenance room equipment following established procedures.
- Maintain equipment in a production-ready and safe condition.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic presses, injection molding machines, and robotic equipment.
- Participate in cross-functional process improvement teams.
- Actively participate in daily team production meetings, communicating key items on safety, quality, maintenance, production, and continuous improvement.
- Follow work instructions and perform root cause analysis to determine immediate actions or the need for additional personnel.
- Maintain a 5S environment in the work area.
- Administer the equipment preventative maintenance program.
- Participate in equipment optimization and cost control/reduction activities.
- Assist maintenance staff to ensure all auxiliary equipment is in place and in working order.
Essential Skills
- 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Electrical troubleshooting skills.
- PLC knowledge.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in mechanical troubleshooting, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Work Environment
The role follows a 12-hour shift from 6:30pm to 6:30am on a 2/2/3 schedule. Work is conducted in a dynamic manufacturing environment, emphasizing safety and continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $66560.00 - $72800.00/yr.
