Position Summary
Our organization, in collaboration with a leading medical school, is on the lookout for a dedicated full-time physiatrist who specializes in Cancer Rehabilitation to join our expanding team.
The role involves delivering comprehensive rehabilitation services tailored to patients with various cancer diagnoses, both during and after their treatment journey.
The selected candidate will engage in consultative and outpatient services at our cancer center, collaborating with a vibrant community of healthcare professionals and researchers focused on cancer care within our institution.
REQUIREMENTS
Ideal candidates should possess a keen interest in managing both inpatient and outpatient care for patients facing cancer and related medical challenges. We provide avenues for teaching, research, and leadership opportunities.
- Must be board certified or eligible in PM&R, showcasing strong organizational, communication, teaching, and leadership abilities.
- Fellowship training in cancer rehabilitation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Clinical and academic positions are available, supported by excellent staff and facilities.
- Possession of a current Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility to obtain one is required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- For an Associate Professor appointment, a minimum of 5 years of experience and a proven record of scholarly contributions in research, teaching, or administrative roles is typically required.
- For a full Professor appointment, at least 10 years of experience and evidence of significant national or international recognition in the field is generally expected.
- Demonstrated scholarly productivity is essential for tenure-track positions, including teaching, academic service, publications in peer-reviewed journals, and a successful history of securing funding. A strong record of independent scholarship is crucial for tenure conferral.
