Locations: Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, or Washington, DC
Compensation: $290,000 – $320,000 base salary (commensurate with experience, with potential for discretionary merit bonus, retirement contributions, and benefits)

Direct Counsel is seeking a Senior eDiscovery Counsel / Senior eDiscovery Associate Attorney to join a top-tier national law firm supporting high-stakes litigation and the growth of its AI governance and compliance practice.

The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of eDiscovery experience, with strong litigation, client counseling, and business development skills, and proven expertise with advanced AI tools to manage large, complex data sets, particularly for clients in regulated industries.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Advising clients on complex discovery and eDiscovery issues

• Drafting briefs, negotiating discovery protocols, and advising on records retention

• Counseling clients on data privacy, compliance, and emerging AI regulatory frameworks

• Collaborating with litigation teams to support complex, high-stakes matters

• Driving business development and practice growth in AI and eDiscovery

Qualifications:

• 7–10+ years of eDiscovery experience

• Strong litigation and client counseling skills

• Proven expertise using advanced AI tools for large, complex data sets

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Admission to the state bar of your preferred office location (required)
