Job Description
The Field Service Technician (FSE) will be responsible for supporting Culligan supplied water treatment systems in Northern Virginia and surrounding states. FSE will typically perform start-ups, troubleshooting, repairs, training, seasonal preparations, and routine oversight on Culligan commercial and industrial water treatment systems & equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Performs startup and commissioning activities on installed equipment including filtration, electrolysis, mobile and potable water systems
- Troubleshoots problems and performs necessary repairs (electrical, mechanical, and controls)
- Aids in training customers on equipment maintenance and adjustments
- Coordinates water analysis testing to ensure safe system operations
- Performs routine maintenance on test equipment, and completes required service/systems paperwork
- Supports sales team with site assessments and system installations
- Maintains courteous, professional communication with customers regarding product/service satisfaction and leverage up-sell opportunities
- Identifies and implements safety protocol, offers continuous improvements, equipment calibrations and reliability opportunities
- Maintains and organizes tools, equipment, parts and truck inventory
- Responds to all emergency service calls including paid occasional after-hours situations
- Adheres to company and customer site safety policies and procedures
- Completes and submits detailed written service orders covering all aspects of services provided/products installed
- Creates and maintains reporting tools to track time, parts, site visits, etc...
Requirements:
- Deep passion for professionalism, customer service, resourcefulness, intellectual curiosity, learning and hard work.
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or similar technical program
- Experience of 1-3 years or high learning aptitude in below areas:

- Supporting commercial and industrial water treatment equipment
- Read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics, and P&IDs to perform required services
- PLC, VFD, HMI troubleshooting experience with Allen Bradley Devices
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted
- May be subject to inclement weather and hazardous working conditions
- Travel to and from work site required , travel to Libertyville, IL once a quarter
- Within driving distance (<1 hour) of IAD airport

Target Salary Range: $80,000 – $110,000 salary a year with the opportunity for eligible employees to earn additional compensation pursuant to the Company’s bonus plan. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Full-time positions are eligible for competitive benefits, including paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, disability benefits and 401(k).
