We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of software applications and frameworks. This long-term contract position is based in Washington, DC, and offers the opportunity to work on complex projects that span multiple technical domains. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in programming, collaboration, and technical innovation to deliver impactful solutions.


Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain software applications and frameworks throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions that meet project objectives.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring optimal system performance.

• Document processes, technical specifications, and changes to ensure clarity and consistency.

• Lead or contribute to the planning and execution of large-scale projects with moderate to high complexity.

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members starting their careers.

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and subcontractors.

• Apply creativity and advanced problem-solving techniques to develop innovative technical solutions.

• Oversee configuration management and ensure adherence to best practices in software release processes.

• Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with organizational standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field and 8-12 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 6-10 years of experience.
• Expertise in one or more programming languages, such as JavaScript, SQL, or HTML.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.
• Experience with tools and technologies such as Active Directory, Oracle, and automation frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead projects and mentor team members effectively.
• Familiarity with software testing, debugging, and configuration management processes.
• Knowledge of security best practices and procedures in software development.
