Job Title: Warehouse Associate
Job Description
The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations by accurately receiving, organizing, and preparing freight for delivery. This hands-on, fast-paced role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, teamwork, and safety while supporting daily logistics and distribution activities.
Responsibilities
- Identify, sort, and organize freight on pallets according to manifests and customer orders.
- Review freight for accuracy and verify shipment counts against documentation.
- Locate and document missing or damaged freight, including taking photos when necessary.
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Complete manifest paperwork accurately for each piece or pallet of freight.
- Conduct daily inventory of trailers in the yard and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with pre-loading of bobtail trucks to ensure timely departures.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip forklift inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in accordance with safety standards.
- Perform general maintenance and additional warehouse duties as assigned by leadership.
Essential Skills
- Experience working in a warehouse environment handling freight, pallets, and manifests.
- Ability to accurately identify, sort, and organize freight according to manifests and customer orders.
- Strong attention to detail when reviewing freight for accuracy and verifying shipment counts.
- Capability to safely load and unload freight, including adherence to safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to complete manifest paperwork accurately and legibly for each piece or pallet of freight.
- Experience conducting basic inventory checks, including trailer inventory in a yard environment.
- Ability to perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of forklifts and recognize basic maintenance issues.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse workspace.
- Physical ability to perform hands-on warehouse tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to support coordinated warehouse operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Prior experience in general warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory.
- Comfort working with freight documentation such as manifests and shipment records.
- Experience assisting with pre-loading of trucks, including bobtail trucks.
- Familiarity with basic maintenance tasks within a warehouse setting.
- Openness to learning new processes and contributing ideas to improve warehouse operations.
- Willingness to take on additional duties as assigned and support a collaborative team environment.

Work Environment
This is an onsite warehouse role with a standard schedule of Monday to Saturday, 07:00 to 16:00, with occasional earlier starts at 05:00 based on operational needs. The position involves working in a fast-paced warehouse setting, handling freight, pallets, and manifests, and regularly using equipment such as forklifts and other material-handling tools. The role requires being on your feet for extended periods, performing physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing freight, and working both indoors in the warehouse and around trailers in the yard. This is a Permanent position based out of Pearl City, HI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
