Background

USPS requires a comprehensive solution to manage and track its assets effectively. The organization currently stores asset data in three internal databases—WebEOR, SEAM, and OSL. To improve transparency and operational efficiency, USPS also aims to standardize its internal processes for asset movements through the implementation of new forms. The supplier will supply technical resources to be managed by USPS personnel in developing and managing an Asset Management Tracking, Tracing, and Inventory Management System. Program Objectives and Technical requirements for resources who will develop and maintain the solution are listed below.

Program Objectives

Asset Management System: Develop a dynamic dashboard integrated with data from WebEOR, SEAM, and OSL to enable real-time tracking and querying of all assets.

Dashboard Features: Include a heat map of the United States as the primary interface, a legend for data interpretation, and a query search function with a drill-down menu for filtering by location, asset type, or other specified criteria.

Integrate PS Form 969 Standardization Process: Integrate PS Form 969 into any machine removal, relocation, or disposal effort for tracking, tracing, and authorization to ensure all asset movements are visible throughout the organization, documented, and authorized by appropriate HQ Personnel. Implement a robust process to prevent unauthorized asset movements. Every asset removal, relocation, or installation that occurs within USPS must have this form approved. This form should be linked to the dashboard for real time updates so that when a form is approved the dashboard reflects said changes.

Other duties as assigned: The resources may be directed to perform support or software development activities for other USPS Engineering Systems projects on an ad-hoc basis as determined by the Manager of Technology Acquisition and Program Management.

Tasks to be performed:

  1. Recommended Software Asset Management Expertise
  2. Experience in implementing and customizing Recommended Software (Example: ServiceNow) Asset Management modules.
  3. Knowledge of CMDB (Configuration Management Database) for asset tracking and integration.
  4. Proficiency in workflows, reporting, and automation.
  5. Recommended Software Dashboard Development
  6. Skills in building dynamic dashboards with data visualization features such as heat maps.
  7. Knowledge of integrating real-time data from external databases into software.
  8. Expertise in implementing drill-down menus and query-based search functionalities.
  9. Expertise in integrating Product Software with external databases like WebEOR, SEAM, and OSL via APIs,
  1. ETL tools, or data connectors.
  1. Proficiency in data cleaning, transformation, and consolidation from multiple sources.
  2. Skills in ensuring data integrity and consistency across systems.
  3. Strong knowledge of database systems, including SQL and non-SQL databases
  4. Experience with database integration and querying tools
  5. Expertise in using ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools to connect and process data between systems.
  6. Proficiency in ensuring real-time data synchronization.
