Grinder Hand (Manual ID/OD Grinding)
Location: Mt. Clemens, MI
Schedule: 1st Shift
Salary Range: $28–$30/hour (flexible based on experience and qualifications)
About the Opportunity
We’re seeking an experienced Grinder Hand specializing in manual ID/OD grinding for a precision machining operation in Mt. Clemens, Michigan.
This role is for a skilled machinist who takes pride in producing precision parts, maintaining tight tolerances, and working independently. You’ll join a clean, well-maintained shop with a close-knit, collaborative team.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate manual ID and OD grinding equipment.
- Independently produce precision components to required specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain tight tolerances throughout the grinding process.
What You Bring
- Hands-on experience setting up and operating manual ID/OD grinding machines.
- Ability to independently produce precision-machined parts.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Experience using precision measuring tools.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently maintain tight machining tolerances.
- Experience with Bryant or Cincinnati grinding machines preferred.
- Formal education is not required; relevant training from Oakland Community College or Macomb Community College is welcome.
