We are seeking a Bilingual Ripening Operations Supervisor to oversee daily operations of a produce ripening department within a distribution center. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, inventory management, forecasting, and Microsoft Excel skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily department operations and employees.
- Monitor the ripening process to ensure product quality and customer standards.
- Utilize Excel to manage inventory forecasts, analyze data, and prepare reports.
- Coordinate with warehouse management, customers, and vendors regarding inventory and demand.
- Conduct product inspections and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and equipment maintenance procedures.
- Identify operational issues and implement improvements.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (required), including formulas, spreadsheets, and reporting.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in warehouse, distribution, or produce operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with inventory management, forecasting, and operational planning.
- Knowledge of banana ripening processes and produce quality preferred.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
- Ability to work in a distribution center environment and lift up to 40 lbs.
