Job Description

Job DescriptionOur client, a well established legal organization in downtown Chicago, is seeking a highly organized Office Manager to oversee daily operations, support attorneys and staff, and ensure the office runs smoothly. This is a temporary onsite role, ideal for someone with strong administrative leadership and experience in a professional legal environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily office operations to maintain a highly efficient and organized legal workspace
• Serve as primary point of contact for attorneys, staff, clients, vendors, and building management
• Oversee conference room scheduling, attorney calendars, and all meeting logistics
• Support legal staff with administrative functions including document routing, file organization, and intake coordination
• Maintain office supply inventory, place orders, and manage vendor relationships
• Ensure proper handling of confidential information in compliance with legal industry standards
• Coordinate onboarding for temporary and new hires, including workstation setup and training
• Maintain internal office records, logs, databases, and reporting as needed
• Coordinate facility needs such as maintenance, security badges, copier issues, and IT tickets
• Process invoices, assist with expense tracking, and support time?entry compliance
• Provide backup reception support: phones, visitor check?in, client communication

Qualifications

• 3+ years of office management or administrative leadership experience
• Prior experience in a law firm or legal services environment strongly preferred
• Knowledge of legal procedures, document management, and confidentiality expectations
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); legal or case?management systems a plus
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Professional demeanor with strong client?service orientation

Pay: $32 - $37 / hr depending on experience

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
