We are currently looking to fill a Maintenance Assistant - Part Time role at our Southeast office.
SALARY:
- The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $18,000 and $20,000 annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in the maintenance of property and facilities.
- Carry out specific tasks regarding maintenance to buildings. Tasks may include basic housekeeping, laundry, routine inspections, general maintenance and repair services.
- Assist in preparing site buildings for their diverse uses throughout the summer, fall, winter, and spring.
- Reports all needs for maintenance repair to the SOM and Executive Director.
- Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner, ensuring quick resolution of issues.
- Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- 2yrs of experience in building repairs and maintenance
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products or willing to learn.
- Demonstrated aptitude to learn basic maintenance skills.
- Basic knowledge of repair tools, building systems, and safety procedures.
- Communicates and interacts effectively with staff at each of the locations.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, carrying, and working in various environmental conditions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2yrs of experience in building repairs and maintenance required
TRANSPORTATION/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
- Driving for work required with a personally owned vehicle. Travel between sites required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel and crouch. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, and viewing a computer terminal.
