Fluency in Russian is required due to frequent communication with Russian - speaking team members.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of large - scale automotive repair facility management;- Knowledge of Business practices applicable to garage management; - 3 – 5 years of management or supervisory experience;- Strong technical and communication skills;- Ability to work in and develop a team atmosphere;- Experience and understanding of working within a budget;- Strong knowledge of all types of diesel engines, automatic and manual transmissions, hydraulics, shop equipment and procedures, and welding and cutting;- Knowledge of preventative maintenance and repair programs for heavy duty equipment;- Excellent multitasking and organization skills.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Hiring, training, and development of mechanical staff
- Management and monitoring of the equipment preventative maintenance schedule
- Maintain efficient productivity levels
- Ensuring shop stays in compliance with set budget
- Oversight of satellite locations with a small hourly staff
- Managing parts inventory
- General maintenance and repairs on company trailers
- Enforce & practice all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment
- Follow all D.O.T. and OSHA safety standards
