We are a not-for-profit currently searching for a FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST(PT)to work generally Monday - Friday 12 pm - 4pm. The purpose of the Front Desk Receptionist is to provide main switchboard and reception desk coverage for NABA. This position will perform other general clerical duties to support the Director of Administration, Comptroller/Finance, Director of Human Resources, and CEO for NABA in an effort to ensure the timely and effective delivery of agency services to consumers.

Essential Duties include:

  • Answer and expedite all incoming telephone calls, and respond to general caller inquiries (e.g., driving directions, agency hours, general services available)
  • Ensure that visitors to NABA are welcomed, registered, and properly directed
  • Process outgoing mail and maintain in-house postage meter
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail, including the photocopying donations received via mail for NABA.
  • File and maintain business office records, including accounts payable and receivable, purchase orders, and other correspondence for NABA
  • Disburse petty cash to appropriate staff as needed, for NABA
  • Prepare bank deposits of checks and cash received from donors/vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Administration, Comptroller/Finance, Director of Human Resources, CEO
  • The Front Desk Receptionist plays a vital role in helping to enhance both Agencies’ public image by assisting callers and visitors in a professional, patient, and compassionate manner. Successful performance in this position relies on the ability to answer and prioritize calls received via a multiple-line switchboard, and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The Front Desk Receptionist – possesses strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, and is able to work independently and with minimal supervision. Additionally, the Front Desk Receptionist is able to meet the position’s physical demands, which may include prolonged periods of sitting, speaking, data entry, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
