Senior Manual / Test Automation Analyst – Quality Assurance

We are seeking a Senior Manual/Test Automation Analyst- QA to provide advanced quality assurance and testing support for a federal mission-critical system.

Clearance: This position supports a federal contract and requires U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder) status, as well as the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide senior-level operations and maintenance (O&M) support for deployed application components, including root-cause analysis, defect triage, and coordination of corrective actions across development, QA, and operations teams.

· Lead analysis, validation, and resolution of complex defects and system enhancements, translating business and functional requirements into executable test scenarios, automated test scripts, and verified system improvements.

· Support Agile/Scrum delivery teams by participating in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and stakeholder prioritization, ensuring requirements traceability from user stories through test cases, defects, and release acceptance criteria.

· Plan and execute synchronized release and test cycles aligned with Agile delivery cadences, coordinating functional, integration, regression, accessibility (Section 508), performance, and UAT activities to support on-time, high-quality releases.

Qualifications and Special Knowledge Requirements

· Master’s degree and eleven (11) years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree and thirteen (13) years of relevant experience.

· Degree in information systems, business systems, management information systems, IT management, or other IT degree.

Abilities

· Extensive experience performing duties in a business analyst role.

· Strong communication skills.

· Experience facilitating requirements analysis and functional design working sessions.

· Experience with Axure.

· Experience developing mockups using Visio.

· Experience in quality assurance and application software testing.

· Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.

· Experience with business process re-engineering.

· Ability to work under tight deadlines.

· Ability to handle multiple and detail-oriented tasks.

· Understanding of business analysis principles, processes, and techniques.

· Strong consultative and advisory skills.

· Ability to operate as a self-directed analyst with a sense of urgency.

· Ability to rapidly gain subject matter expertise and customer confidence.

· Effective interpersonal skills, including engagement with senior leadership.

· Experience working in a scrum development environment.

· Experience managing requirements in JIRA.

· Expertise in Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle.

· Ability to produce test plans, test

· Ability to produce test plans, test designs, scenarios, test cases, test reports, test metrics, and defect reports.

· Proficiency in integration testing, functional testing, regression testing, Section 508 testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing.

· Proficiency in manual and automated testing processes.

· Experience with Team Foundation Server.

· Experience with Requirements Traceability Matrix.

· Experience with Selenium, SortSite, SiteImprove, and JMeter tools.

· Excellent communication and analytical skills.
