Purpose and Scope: The Senior AV Programmer is responsible for programming, testing and servicing complex audio/visual systems for commercial and residential environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop custom programming of audio, video, and control systems
- Develop custom graphical user interfaces for touch panels
- Work with clients, end users, and internal staff to create functional systems
- Provide onsite support for loading and commissioning systems
- Read and understand drawings, schematics, and specification documents
- Maintain professional attitude and excellent customer service
- Complete manufacturers, company, and industry training as required
- Communications of schedule and time tracking per client and company
- Company paid travel as required (though not often, may include weekends)
- Provide remote support and service for client and company resources
- Provide as-built documentation of completed project schematics and code
Education & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years in Commercial AV industry
- Certifications or experience with Crestron, QSC, Extron, Biamp, BSS, and others
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, IGMP…)
- AVIXA CTS (if not currently required with first year of employment)
