Job Title: Senior Scrum Master – Finance Technology & AI Projects

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Scrum Master to lead multiple agile teams delivering innovative technology solutions within the finance sector, with a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning initiatives.

This role is critical to ensuring effective project delivery, optimizing team performance, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in a fast-paced, complex environment. The Senior Scrum Master will guide cross-functional teams through the Scrum framework, manage product timelines, and facilitate strong communication across stakeholders and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple cross-functional agile teams, ensuring adherence to Agile methodologies and Scrum best practices.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to define scope, goals, and deliverables for finance technology and AI-driven projects.
• Track milestones and deliverables, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Escalate issues appropriately and provide clear visibility into project health.
• Coach and mentor team members on Agile principles, fostering accountability, collaboration, and self-organization.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using KPIs and performance data to enhance team efficiency and delivery outcomes.
• Remove impediments and protect teams from distractions to ensure sprint focus and productivity.
• Support backlog refinement and ensure a well-groomed, prioritized product backlog.
• Deliver clear, high-quality status reports to stakeholders and senior management.
• Foster transparency and collaboration across teams and stakeholders.
• Leverage AI tools to support requirements elicitation, user story development, and refinement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5–9 years of experience in a Scrum Master role, preferably within a technology-driven organization.
• Proven experience as a Senior Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager in software development or complex IT environments.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and experience supporting Agile transformation efforts.
• Experience managing IT delivery in medium-to-large, complex environments, particularly within the Banking/Finance sector.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS), Big Data tools (Spark, Hadoop), and AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow) is a plus (conceptual understanding required).
• Agile certifications such as CSM or PSM preferred; PMP certification is a plus.
