SNELLING is seeking a detail-oriented Payor Relations & Collections Specialist for a growing healthcare organization in the Tyler area. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in provider credentialing, insurance payor relations, self-pay account management, and patient collections while working with a collaborative healthcare team. Pay rate is $20-$22/hr. The schedule is Monday- Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate provider credentialing, recredentialing, and insurance enrollment activities
- Prepare, submit, and track credentialing applications and supporting documentation
- Communicate with insurance payors regarding pending, delayed, or incomplete applications
- Manage self-pay billing and collections processes
- Review patient accounts, balances, and payment activity
- Generate and distribute patient statements and billing communications
- Follow up on outstanding balances and assist with payment resolution
- Respond to patient billing inquiries and help resolve account discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely follow-up on assigned accounts
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in medical billing, collections, credentialing, healthcare administration, revenue cycle management, or a related healthcare support role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software applications
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with provider credentialing and insurance enrollment
- Knowledge of medical billing and collections processes
- Familiarity with insurance payors and healthcare reimbursement procedures
- Experience communicating with patients regarding account balances and payment arrangements
