Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor patients' health and report any changes in condition to appropriate healthcare staff.
- Assist clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Administer CPR and first aid when necessary, ensuring client safety at all times.
- Support memory care initiatives by employing techniques that foster cognitive engagement for clients with memory impairments.
- Collaborate with nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized care plans.
Experience
- Previous experience in direct support roles such as home care or group home settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and basic medical knowledge is advantageous.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Experience in hospice care or memory care environments is a plus.
- A background in nursing or social work can enhance your candidacy for this position.
