Hourly Pay: $20.04
Shift Differential: Additional $2.50 per hour for evening, overnight, and weekend shifts worked.
Work Schedule: Every other weekend (Sat & Sun) 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. or 12:00 a.m.- 8:00 a.m

Join the Southeastern Family Project (SEFP) as a Part-Time Direct Care Associate! This weekend shift position (every other Saturday and Sunday) gives you the chance to provide hands-on support to women and families on their journey to recovery from substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions.
Position Overview:
SEFP is seeking a compassionate Part-Time Direct Care Associate to join our residential care team. You will provide supervision, guidance, and support to clients in a residential setting, assisting the Program Manager in maintaining a therapeutic environment, monitoring client progress, and supporting daily living and recovery activities.

Since 1971, the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. SEFP is a licensed residential substance use disorder treatment program (3.5 & 3.1) serving non-pregnant women, pregnant women, recently postpartum women, and their infants. Our gender-specific program provides a safe, structured, and supportive environment, promoting recovery, stabilization, and overall well-being for clients and families.
Job Duties:

Provide direct care and supervision in a residential treatment setting.

Support clients with daily living skills, infant care, and household activities.

Monitor client health, safety, and progress toward recovery goals.

Document client interactions and maintain confidential records.

Encourage participation in treatment, life skills, and recreational activities.
Qualifications:

Minimum one year of experience in direct care, residential treatment, mental health support, or substance use disorder services; CNA certification a plus.

Valid Virginia State Driver's License.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a residential care or behavioral health setting.
