I.T. Senior Systems Administrator oversees system administration across all Laguna Development Corporation sites, ensuring mission‑critical systems operate efficiently and securely. This role manages corporate‑level systems directly while coordinating and mentoring site System Administrators. Key responsibilities include maintaining virtual server and desktop environments, SANs, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and databases, as well as managing patches, upgrades, backups, disaster recovery procedures, and system documentation. The position also serves as the third‑level escalation point for complex technical issues and plays an active role in system design, performance tuning, capacity planning, and process improvement.
In addition to technical oversight, the role requires strong leadership and communication skills to model positive workplace behavior, provide training, maintain vendor relationships, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Senior Systems Administrator must stay current with emerging technologies and industry practices, maintain detailed knowledge base documentation, and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. The position requires a related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, several years of enterprise I.T. experience, proficiency with virtual environments, and the ability to meet physical, mental, and regulatory requirements, including obtaining a gaming license and passing pre‑employment screening.
