Job Overview The stockroom clerk is responsible for material and parts inventory processes.
Responsibilities and Duties Required
- Maintain accurate inventory records and transaction integrity.
- Receive parts into inventory and verify all documentation is completed.
- Maintain an organized stock room utilizing the FIFO mentality.
- Pull material per work order and complete all paperwork requirements and complete the proper transactions in the ERP system when required.
- Stock all material in its assigned location.
- Perform cycle counts as scheduled.
- Maintain Consumable Cabinets-Stock received items, perform cycle counts and generate weekly purchase orders.
- Review and ensures accuracy of pick ticket documents and work orders.
- Ensure all bins/boxes/bags are clearly marked/labeled with part number.
- Contribute to continuous improvement with department objectives.
- Responsible for assisting in mid-year and year-end inventory counts.
- Ensure shelf-life items are appropriately identified and are removed from stock when expiration date is reached.
- Assist in Shipping Receiving as needed.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Must have kit pulling and order fulfillment experience.
- Must be familiar with computers and ERP software.
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions.
- Must be able to understand departmental documentation and be able to process accurately.
- Must possess math and analytical skills.
- Experience working in a high-volume environment.
- Ability to accurately sort and compare part numbers to order lists.
- Must possess attention to detail.
- Must possess strong follow up skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to work in an environment that may be subject to occasional loud noises, hazardous materials, and chemicals.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- Ability to maintain a professional attitude in all matters.
- Ability to meet production requirements as specified.
- Ability to adapt to change.
- Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.
- Ability to effectively train Personnel in all aspects of the job. The duties of the trainer would include on-the-job training.
- Ability to train individuals with a variety of experience levels and personalities.

- Knowledge of 5S and Lean Concepts and ability to help move forward with achieving department goals.
- Ability to understand and effectively communicate job instructions both verbally and written.

Job, Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Physical Demands:
- Must be in good physical condition and be able to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, or kneel for length of shift.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Visual Acuity:
- Visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected.
- Close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to read computer screen and documents.
Hearing Ability:
- Normal hearing or corrected to normal.
- Ability to monitor machine sounds to identify and diagnose changes to take appropriate action.
Working Conditions:
- Factory environment.
- Occasional work outside normal business hours.
- High noise levels from machines on shop floor.
- Physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts.
- Breathing fumes, dust, and mist.
- Skin exposure to chemicals associated with manufacturing.
