POSITION SUMMARY
The Contract Specialist will provide contract execution and support on customer provided RFP, RFB, RFI opportunities. Monitoring and providing required inputs to awarded programs, identifying escalations and modifications to awarded upcoming customer contracts.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
· Review contract language including terms and conditions, bid submission requirements (due date, copies, how to bind, etc.); provide to team Manager and assigned Customer Service Representative (CSR).
· Review Bid Highlights and Setup Detailed Worksheet and forward to Purchasing for pricing updates; monitor for Purchasing/Buyer completion.
· Prepare questions and participate in customer’s pre-bid meetings.
· Creating and monitoring until final approval New Load Requests, Data Change Requests and Pricing Requests to execute bid submission.
· Provide completed bid worksheet and supporting contract highlights to CSR for strategy and pricing analysis.
· Coordinate insurance and bid bonds for assigned customer RFP’s when required.
· Monitoring and managing customer contract items and escalations in conjunction with assigned CSR.
· Collaborate with Business Development on complex bids as required.
· Coordinate with the Analyst to review contract lost award data/no bid data when provided by the customer to ensure we have gathered part information/competitive costing to increase our ability to quote and win future bids. Provide and review with team Manager and assigned CSR
· Assess open workload with the Customer Service Manager weekly.
· Assist in final bid preparation as required for submittal.
· Participate\support major projects or programs in collaboration with the team Manager and assigned customer CSR.
· Conduct post-award reviews and provide a summarized overview of findings to the team Manager and customer CSR along with preparing and presenting the Bid Synopsis
· Review and provide analytics with recommendations to CS team (Manager/CSR & Metro Specialist) in determining contract performance for sell through, margins and supersessions.
· 5% travel required.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
· Post secondary education or equivalent experience.
· Previous industry experience and basic knowledge of transit vehicles and systems.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel.
· Analytical skills and time management skills.
· Strong communication and organizational skills.
